Great to see interest being shown in the WIA 50 on 50 Award, well done to the latest additions in Steve VK3OTR and Andy the VK6OX.

The award was introduced to try and create more 6m interest and it should be noted there is now a WIA 6m DXCC award and with the improving sunspot cycle and digital modes like FT8 there should be some operators who will qualify for DXCC.

The system accepts confirmations from LOTW, EQSL or cards, Cards need to be approved by another WIA member. Probably the hardest part of using the system is to create an ADIF file of your log with the appropiate info reqired by the WIA awards system.

There is also a 10 band DXCC Award available, it will be great effort to receive this award which will require DXCC on 6m & 160m as well as the other HF bands.

Contact me if you require any assistance with the WIA awards system.
