Greetings,

I have accumulated several Hardinge Bros (Harbros) HF AM radios.  These were Australian made in both Horsham and later Healesville both in VK3.

A large number of these valve radios were used by the Country Fire Authority prior to the introduction of VHF radios.

An article appeared in Silicon Chip (October 2005) authored by Rodney Champness (SK) on the restoration of a Harbros AM 12/54B transceiver. As luck would have it, it is now in my possession and performs flawlessly with a (wait for it) power output of 4.5 watts.

A basic circuit was included in the article, with little to no component values.  There was no information on the metering circuit, which is a plug in affair.

Does anyone have anyinformation on the above radio and associated power supply?  I dithered around with an old power supply I had here and managed to mate it to the radio.

While I'm here, is there any information around on the Harbros TA18/2?

Thank you for any information.
