From: WIA  NATIONAL NEWS FOR WEEK COMMENCING Feb 17 2019

Julian VK2YJS dropped us a note through the week to say, and I quote " There are a range of reasons to obtain a US Amateur Licence, including for travel, as while there are reciprocal arrangements, these do not cater to all users or needs; the challenge, or for the CV; and to yourself become a Volunteer Examiner in the US system.

I, Julian VK2YJS and AG6LE advise that the Oz VE group will be running exams to obtain such a licence at the Wyong Field Day February 24.

The fee is US$15, or around A$22.  This allows one attempt at each of the three papers, Technician, General, and Extra.  Relevant regulations are integrated into each paper, and all must be passed to get the Extra.
A range of training resources are available including:- hamtestonline.com site.

More information can be found on the website:- veexams.com "

Are you going to the Wyong FD and are prepared to do the tests ??
You have about 1 week to get ready !
