LED lighting EMC/RFI Report - VK2ZRH - 08-07-2021 A new report on conducted emissions from household LED lamps reveals that there has been little improvement over the past decade, with one exception. Measurements of conducted emissions were made across the frequency range from 150 kHz to 30 MHz using a standardised set up, which is detailed in the article. The author, Ken Wyatt WA6TTY, is a senior EMC engineer heading his own technical consulting company, a senior member of the IEEE, and a long-time member of the EMC Society. The regulators seem to be mostly asleep at the wheel. About the only two countries I know that actually enforce the regulations are the US and Germany, you never hear of it being enforced elsewhere (unless it is something to do with interference to the defence dept of course). |
