6M LP QSO - VK4ADC - VA2BAE Long Path - VK4ADC - 19-01-2022 Unexpected 6M DX today, 19 Jan 2022 : VA2BAE in FN46is to VK4ADC in QG62LG51, FT8 mode, 50.313, quick complete. Long path 24362.7KM / 15138.3 miles. HIS DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED . I was QTF about 210 degrees, towards VK3/5/7 from the home QTH in VK4 (SE Qld). Calculated LP QTF was 229 degrees from me. {I did try SP at about 50 degrees but no North American sigs.} I think the QSO was copied on both sides by VK3MH, who can confirm the QSO happened, but who also reported VA7AE around the same time. If we can do this now, I have high hopes that we will have much better DX-ing in 2024/5/6/7 nearer/around the solar cycle maximum. Doug VK4ADC RE: 6M LP QSO - VK4ADC - VA2BAE Long Path - VK4ADC - 13-02-2022 Steve I have emailed VA2BAE and still waiting on a response. Will post outcome here if I ever get an answer. It would be good to get first-hand information from VE3DS though. Doug VK4ADC |
