QRP antenna for 6m - ZS1AGX - 10-01-2023 This antenna should get you on 6m to contact your pal across the road. The match network is built into the black box on the back on the PL259 that screws into the SO239 on the back of the radio. Since I haven't seen a new radio for about 30 years, I can't be sure that radios still use these connectors. (perhaps they are now unavailable?) The black tubing is sprinker water tubing from the gardening shop. couple of pictures here, but I don't know how to make them part of the message; do you? 73, 'AGX Probably the best simple outdoor antenna is the 1/2 wave vertical since the feed point is Hi Z allowing the feed line the be easily decoupled from the antenna. Have you a picture of such an antenna for 6m? |
