E51WL/b - ZL1RS - 23-01-2023 After some years off air, this beacon is now operational again on 50.049 carrier frequency (+- temperature related drift). It is working on a 'semi-intermittent' basis into Warwick's 6m Yagi ... e.g. the beacon is running when he is not on 6m himself. Some 'last minute' things still to attend to: Changing the ID to read Warwick's new locator - BI01xa (it is still sending his old locator - BI00xx) Upgrading the solar power system with items on hand to improve reliability and protect the battery More info HERE 73, Bob ZL1RS RE: E51WL/b - VK4CZ - 23-01-2023 That's great news Bob - thanks for your support in getting this beacon back operational. RE: E51WL/b - VK2ZRH/4 - 05-02-2023 What he said. Great to see the use of "old school" methodology to provide a solution. |
