TC Debbie and CoA - VK2CSW - 28-03-2017 Hi All, With TC Debbie bearing down on Bowen and surrounds I thought it might be timely to put the IARU Region 3 CoA frequencies out there: The International Amateur Radio Union Region 3 Band Plan has been updated to include five emergency Centre of Activity (CoA) frequencies. These are 3.600, 7.110, 14.300, 18.160 and 21.360 MHz. The move to adopt these frequencies made at the recent IARU Region 3 Conference, follows similar decisions at earlier IARU Region 1 and Region 2 Conferences. CoA are not spot frequencies, but a starting point + or – 5kHz, are not the only frequencies to be used, and are not mode specific and should be considered as being 'all modes'. I know most will know this but for the sake of easy access I've put them here. Good luck and well wishes to those being impacted. Re: TC Debbie and CoA - VK3ALB - 28-03-2017 Thanks Colin, I found it hard to believe that this information wasn't easily available but I found I really had to dig around to find something concrete. Without this post I may well have thought the old frequencies were the correct ones especially if I just trusted the first likely hit on Google. I finally found the band plan here. I think your information is easier to read. Thanks for posting. |
