FTDX101D or IC7610 ? - VK4CCV - 06-07-2024 Hi All, This is more focused towards the people who may be familiar with both the Yaesu FTDX101D and Icom IC7610. I currently have a FTDX5000MP which I am happy with, but as technology has improved, I'd like to get into rigs that are Software Derived. From what I have reduced it down to is either the FTDX101D or the IC7610, which from what I understand are very evenly matched. My focus is based around Noise Reduction. For those who know both, what's your opinion? Pete DU7/VK4CCV RE: FTDX101D or IC7610 ? - VK6CPU - 08-07-2024 If NR is one of your primary concerns - what about a Anan rig with Thetis software. Very steep learning curve but very high quality audio and perhaps best NR of any radio. RE: FTDX101D or IC7610 ? - VK4SMJ - 10-07-2024 My vote would be for the IC 7610 out of those 2 options. A local bloke to me had a 101mp and after 18 months or so hocked it for a 7610, He didn't like the menu structure i think was his gripe? But as you're a yaesu man already that might not be a concern to you. I have the 7610 and I love it, had it nearly 4 years now. But either way you cant lose mate. |
