Cheap SDRs available via eBay - VK4ADC - 10-11-2017

Just looking for some feedback about these SDRs, typically about $AUD50....

Normal description is "100KHz-1.7GHz full band UV HF RTL-SDR USB Tuner Receiver/R820T+8232" or similar.
Images below show the style...

I already have a 'blue SDR dongle' that will go down to about 20+ MHz but these supposedly go lower. How sensitive are they though ?  This box style is probably less likely to get broken. Big Grin

Comments ??

RE: Cheap SDRs available via eBay - VK5PW - 10-11-2017

Hi Doug

I got a similar unit , to the one shown , however mine was the upgraded version
for double the price you quoted, Have not done much with it , I did use it on 6m
with a free program called Touchstone spectrum analyser , seemed to work ok
I have not tried it on hf
Regards
Peter
