High Range VK2RHR repeater - VK2WP - 20-01-2018

A few weeks ago was in the Mittagong area and tried many times to access this repeater. Anyone know whether High Range is still on air or not ?

Tks

Contact Justin Albury <justin@jacomms.com> of Goulburn.

When one looks at the number of repeaters Australia wide, one wonders,
who maintains them? And, is there a pool of spares anywhere?
We have a Yahoo group but nobody uses it.

Thanks for the reply and will contact Justin to see what the status of High Range is. I tried to key up the repeater many times from good locations but no response.

Most likely another repeater that has ceased to be maintained and faded into the past along with a number of others.

With all the changes to site access, security, insurance and the rest it is getting more and more difficult to keep a repeater going.

The WIA repeater list is hopelessly out of date.

The list relies on the repeater owners/clubs sending updates to the WIA on the status of them.
Can't do much when nobody replies with the information. Steve does a very good job asking for info.
