Historic marine radio station returns to the air - VK2AOH - 10-10-2016 After a 20 year break since the cessation of morse code for marine communications the callsign KPH has been reissued to the Marine Radio Historical Society. The transmitting station at Bolinas and the receiving station at Point Reyes have been restored to operation on original marine frequencies. MRHS also maintain a amateur radio callsign K6KPH and are on air every Saturday for amateur radio enthusiasts to call in. Somewhat a surprising event in this day and age, I guess there must be still some ships R/O's whom will communicate with KPH when it goes back on air.
