IC-910 AF gain control - VK5PJ - 09-04-2018 Hi, over the last 12 months the AF gain pot on my IC-910H has become very noisy and intermittent. No amount of attention to it will clear it up so I have gone searching for a replacement. which it turns out is a standard item from a popular manufacturer. RV-314 (RK0972210 10KB / 10KB ) by ALPS, which is available from Mouser and probably other sources. Now there is a delay in getting them but does anyone else need one of these ('main' or 'sub' AF gain is the same device), if so I will order enough to fill the need, otherwise just two for me. Regards, Peter, vk5pj RE: IC-910 AF gain control - VK4ADC - 09-04-2018 Peter Try Rockby in Victoria :
Supposedly over 200 on hand so minimal delay. RE: IC-910 AF gain control - VK5PJ - 10-04-2018 Thanks Doug but that is only a single control pot... 910 need a dual gang pot-dual control (AF gain and SSQ), which Rockby do not have. Peter. RE: IC-910 AF gain control - VK4ADC - 11-04-2018 RK0971210 versus RK0972210 I didn't spot the one digit difference in the numbers at the time. Close - but no cigar. Peter Is the difference in size sufficient to allow you to sleeve the shafts and make the Icom knobs fit ? I tried using some heated and trimmed heatshrink to accomplish that in one instance and it worked for me. Tight to push the knob on though. 73 Doug |
