Transformer wattage - VK5TJ - 17-06-2019

Some years ago the ARRL handbook had a method for estimating the rough wattage of a transformer by using its measurements ie length, height and depth. Does anyone have this information available?
Thanks in advance .. Theo

Some useful info in this thread https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/assessing-an-unknown-transformer.38273/

If you want the ARRL info and can pinpoint a year, I have a few early Handbooks.

Thanks Terry, I don't know the exact year of the ARRL but the link you supplied was very useful.

Found the ARRL info:

1981 Handbook chapter 5 pages 10 & 11

Probably in others around the years just before and after.
