What is the maximum size allowable for a post in mB, characters or whatever.

Minimum post text is 30 chars, max is 64K chars. Large posts are undesirable, use attachments in preference as these are stored stand-alone outside the SQL database.
Max of 5 attachments per post.
Each attachment as follows : .PDF at 2MB, .TXT at 200KB, .ZIP or .TAR at 1MB, most images (JPG, GIF, PNG etc) at 500KB each, .DOCX / .XLSX / .PPTX at 1MB.
Some other file extensions are not accepted.
