Australian licence data extracted from ACMA RRL
#1
The work I have been doing with the Australian ACMA RRL data has resulted in some interesting details, as presented per the link below :

https://www.vk4adc.com/web/index.php/sof...k-lic-data

The ZIP available for download from there contains these files :

Amateur-VK-ALL.kml - all Australian amateur operator callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted
amateur-vk0.kml -  Prefix VK0 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally Antarctica
amateur-vk1.kml -  Prefix VK1 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally Australian Capital Territory
amateur-vk2.kml -  Prefix VK2 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  New South Wales
amateur-vk3.kml -  Prefix VK3 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  Victoria
amateur-vk4.kml -  Prefix VK4 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  Queensland
amateur-vk5.kml -  Prefix VK5 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  South Australia
amateur-vk6.kml -  Prefix VK6 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  Western Australia
amateur-vk7.kml -  Prefix VK7 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  Tasmania
amateur-vk8.kml -  Prefix VK8 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally  Northern Territory
amateur-vk9.kml -  Prefix VK9 Australian amateur callsigns, beacons and repeaters excepted, nominally External Australian Territories

bcnlist.txt            - Australian amateur radio beacons at HF, VHF, UHF and microwave, all states
replist.txt              - Australian amateur radio repeaters at HF, VHF, UHF and microwave, all states - note: listing includes radio linking frequencies
Beacons-VK.kml    - Australian amateur radio beacons at HF, VHF, UHF and microwave, all states
Repeaters-VK.kml - Australian amateur radio repeaters at HF, VHF, UHF and microwave, all states - note: listing includes radio linking frequencies

Please note that available information is limited by the ACMA Terms and Conditions for use of RRL data.
Any Lat/Long values and resulting maidenhead grid squares are based on locality name and postcode of the respective MAILING address and will not reflect the actual operating station's precise location.

By all means try a smaller KML file first (eg VK0 or VK9) as these will load quickly into Google Earth  Pro (Windows) or browser-based Google Earth ( https://earth.google.com/web/?utm_source...vine&hl=en ) then using the Projects button to import the relevant KML from your computer.

The initial release is based on RRL data dated  April 2021 but can be updated fairly easily in the future.

(Edit - fuller explanation added to each file to make self explanatory for non-amateurs)
