Hi All,
Have had a short break from Amateur Radio (2 Years).
I used to work PSK31 regularly, but on my return I am having trouble
finding PSK31.
It appears that it has been replaced my another mode, which is very common where PSK used to run.
What mode would this be?

Hi Pete,
Welcome to the new world.
The mode is most likely FT8. In a short time it has taken over from a lot of digi modes as the popular choice.
I found the following to be a pretty comprehensive guide to FT8

Thanks Lou,
Yea, things certainly to change quickly, but still great to hear the odd RTTY still lurking.
Thanks for the link too.

Hey Lou,
Just installed WSJT-X and find there are a number of Modes one can use:
JT4
JT8
JT9
JT65
QRA64
I'm guessing JT-8 is the one I start with?

Hi Pete,
You'll have better luck with FT8 which should be at the top of the mode list.

Last night noticed a number of PSK31 ops pop up on the RBN, 20M.
Mostly Russian and EU's so it seems the mode is still about, might plug a keyboard into the KX3 and have a bit of a lash.

Thanks Lou, yep ya right, it's al FT8. Made a number of contacts (answering CQ's), but yet to work out how to send an CQ myself without stuffing it all up.
I'll get there !!!

Been sniffing around but geez, not much around.
I will throw out a few CQ's to see what happens.
