Hi,
over the last 12 months the AF gain pot on my IC-910H has become very noisy and intermittent. No amount of attention to it will clear it up so I have gone searching for a replacement. which it turns out is a standard item from a popular manufacturer.
RV-314 (RK0972210 10KB / 10KB ) by ALPS, which is available from Mouser and probably other sources.
Now there is a delay in getting them but does anyone else need one of these ('main' or 'sub' AF gain is the same device), if so I will order enough to fill the need, otherwise just two for me.
Regards,
Peter, vk5pj

Try Rockby in Victoria :
- Stock No: 43037
Part No: RK0971210-10KB
Description: Quality Dual 10K Linear Potentiometer
https://www.rockby.com.au/CatresultsSql_...k_no=43037
Supposedly over 200 on hand so minimal delay.

Thanks Doug but that is only a single control pot... 910 need a dual gang pot-dual control (AF gain and SSQ), which Rockby do not have.

RK0971210 versus RK0972210
I didn't spot the one digit difference in the numbers at the time.
Close - but no cigar.

Well I ordered some pots for my 910 but it seems the Icom units have thicker shafts than standard units, so I have two more items for the junk box..

Is the difference in size sufficient to allow you to sleeve the shafts and make the Icom knobs fit ?
I tried using some heated and trimmed heatshrink to accomplish that in one instance and it worked for me.
Tight to push the knob on though.
