WSPRView for Windows
#61
Definitely yes. The version on the top of the form reflects the actual version in use.

Make sure you extract all files from the ZIP into your WSPRView folder (or into a new one named something like C:\WSPRView) nd that you initially select ALL bands and will confirm that the WSPR data is being retrieved.

WSPRView is now at V1.0.0.21 dated 20 November 2023 to resolve a bug that caused a pop-up error 004F9125 to appear.

Some users may not have suffered from the issue depending on whether they used the /mycall= function on their command line - i.e. as set in the shortcut properties.
If that was present then the error did not appear.

At the same time, the 40MHz / 8 Metres WSPR support was added.

The latest version is now available from the info page at https://www.vk4adc.com/web/index.php/sof...or-windows

Please note that the ZIP file needs to be downloaded then decompressed into a folder named like C:\WSPRView replacing any and all files from the ZIP.
Creating a shortcut on the desktop is as simple as right-clicking on WSPRView.exe in that folder, selecting 'Send to..' and then selecting the 'Desktop (create shortcut)' item.

Please download this latest version and replace any previous versions. The old versions are no longer functional due to recent changes on the WSPRNET web site.

Hi Doug,

I just downloaded the new version of WSPRview, im afraid my PC is not able to run the exe, it comes up with an error stating -

WSPRView.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because qtintf70.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I am using Windows XP.

I am surprised that you saw that message since the application does not use any QT (QuickTime) components thus should not need that library DLL.  It has never been part of the WSPRView ZIP archive.

You could try downloading it from the likes of https://wikidll.com/borland/qtintf70-dll then de-zip it into the WSPRView folder.

I have a suspicion that a recent-ish Windows Update may have removed any previous file of that name from your Windows system but have no proof of that.

All you can do is download and try it.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the info. I have just tried downloading WSPRview on a current Dell Laptop and have had the same error be displayed on that system too which is Windows 10.

I have downloaded the dll on Win 10 machine and WSPRview will run, but then its coming up with a invalid date and time error after it attempts to download the data.
Dont worry too much about it Doug.
