YET ANOTHER NEW WEAK SIGNAL MODE RELEASED

It looks like JS8Call, a new conversational weak signal mode, is ready for prime time. The developer, Jordan KN4CRD, has announced that the build of Version 1.0 is complete and it is being released publicly.

The application is a derivative of WSJT-X that mimics Fldigi or FSQ by being based on keyboard-to-keyboard communication.

The current and all future downloads are available at the web page in our written text editions.

Saturday evening, made a few contacts.

Great mode for Message Passing on HF or VHF. with signals down to -21db s/n
decoded quite well. Tx rate about 30 chars per minute
Quite a bit of activity on 7078KHz USB.

Windows binaries available, on Linux, compiles easily (for us gurus).

WICEN people, this is a great message passing app.
I'm trying to get the MS guys to try it.

Much more useful than FT8, from where it is derived.
