Hi Leigh,
That looks good.
I think you have clearly demonstrated that a chart like this spanning a 24 hour period is easy to read at a glance. I'm pretty sure that a clever web guy could extract data from a WSPR site constrained by say the callsign prefix and time to produce a chart that is close to live. A Raspberry Pi for example would have enough grunt to do that kind of work and even output the result to a touch screen as well as a web page. As a bonus it could send emails when the trace crossed over zero.
However, I don't think that something like this should replace the current reporting method because having all those data points available makes research possible for those that can crunch big number sets.

OPENING 20 -
Another exclusive path between Phil VK5AKK and Derek VK6DZ. I'm sure we're getting close to the end of our run of Bight path openings for this season now, but I wouldn't doubt that one or two more may be possible still.

OPENING 20a -
Not really a new opening, just a continuation of the path in the same system from the previous night. Just a couple of weak spots.
Will this be all that Phil & Derek can pull out of their magical hat for this summer season... we shall see

In total for the 2016/2017 Tropo season, there were 21 openings detected by WSPR across the Great Australian Bight path.
100% thanks to Derek VK6DZ without whom most of these would not be possible, and also Phil VK5AKK who is in a rare QTH atop the Adelaide hills also whom along with Derek has detected many of these paths which are not possible between any other stations, quite a unique situation, but shows how often the Bight path does open up. These two are also often the early indicator warning for the Bight openings.
We really need many more stations on the VK6 side of the path. We do occasionally see Wayne VK6JR and Rob VK6LD on the map. Someone operating from the town of Esperance would be of great significance if anyone from there is watching.
Looking forward to the coming summer.
