WIA Repeater Directory
#1
It looks like the WIA repeater directory (https://www.wia.org.au/members/repeaters/data/) is now accessible to WIA members only.  Previouly it was publicly accessible.
I hope that is an unintentional glitch due to WIA's recent web site issues and will be fixed soon.

I encountered the issue when I attempted to update a comprehensive codeplug for 3 Analog/DMR radios which has all of Australia's 2m and 70cm repeaters covered.
Previously, the data was semi-automatically extracted from WIA's "Repeater Directory 191212.csv".

As far as I can tell there is no other, authoritative Repeater Directory for Australia.
  1. https://www.onlinerepeatermap.com states on their home page:
"All repeater information is taken directly from the latest version of the Wireless Institute of Australia’s Repeater Directory (191212)."
Also, "onlinerepeatermap.com" is not suitable for auto-extraction of all Australian repeaters.

  2. The ACMA database does not have the CTCSS tones and without those, many of Australia's repeaters are practically inaccessible.

However, there is (sort of) a workaround:
https://www.repeaterbook.com/ lists 701 Australian repeaters and it most likely relies on someone (VK2DNA at this time) to upload the WIA Repeater Directory.

Access to machine-friendly data requires registration (free).

I just clicked on that URL and could download both the .pdf and .csv versions.

I am a member but not logged in, in fact I can't recall the last time I did.

Perhaps clear your browser's cache and try again.

I can get the files now too.  :-)

Seems to be fixed.  Great!

I reported a whole raft of stuff that was giving errors such as you found, most of which seems to now be fixed.
