I was keeping an eye on the BOM Mt Stapylton RADAR tonight and was seeing sweeping arcs of patterns - interesting enough to grab a screen print. Not rain either, varying sweep to sweep.

It made me wonder whether there were still some temperature inversions hanging about after a very hot day.. about 35-36 Celsius here earlier today.

Some VHF/UHF DX too perhaps ??

Today's BOM observations for my local area as an example of temps in the general area of SEQ :

Based on the BoM forecast for yesterday ' little if any rain'. This could be a phenomenon known as 'Virga". It is raining at altitude, but evaporates before reaching the ground.
