Hello all
Well the screen replacement went....ok.
While reassembling the unit I have had an 'oh sh!t' moment. It appears I have taken out the CMOS graphic controller chip.
The screen hhas the blue background raster, with a white square (as is normal), but no other information.
Are there any kind hearted folk out there that maybe able to assist in replacing the 100 pin SMD chip? Please.
I can obtain another chip (no thanks to Icom), but removing and resoldering this chip is way above my capabilities.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
