My IC-756 (non PRO) has developed the dreaded blue screen syndrome.
Has anyone had to replace their screen recently? I have trawled the internet with very limited success, until today. There is an interesting discussion on QRZ forums where a number of amateurs are using graphic displays from Winstar and New Haven. These displays while not a direct drop in replacement, seem to be providing the answer to a problem that has been going on from when these sets were near new.
The QRZ topic can be found here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/ic-756-non-pro-display-update-project.494437/">https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?thread ... ct.494437/</a><!-- m -->
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has completed the screen replacement using one of these displays.
