Presume its radar a loud harsh stacatto buzzing on 40M. Seems to be more or less centered on 7027KHz, down to about 7007KHz and upto about 7047KHz.
Starts around 4.00pm EST and have heard it till about 8.00am EST.
Very strong s9+ here in Bathurst.
Anyone else getting plastered by this or is it just me ?
Regards, Wal VK2WP
P.S time of writing this about 7.35pm and really strong

If it's only just started in the last few days days, I suspect it may be something to do with Bathurst (as in the race).
A complaint to ACMA is probably warranted in that case, problem is it will probably disappear before anything happens.

Nothing to note in that band here in Sydney.
Well except for the 9+ that is always here.
Have had another op report the same interference and its definitely offshore OHR from somewhere. At time of writing nearly 7.00am it has pretty well faded out.
Noticed a RTTY contest going flat despite the radar.

A report to the WIA's Intruder Watch wouldn't go astray - probably more use that reporting to the ACMA.

The USN has, reportedly, been executing Freedom of Navigation transits (both naval and air) around the Spratly Islands over the past few days.
This has led to some tensions. I would guess this would result in the Chinese OTHR being 'pointed' this way.

Will log a few more times and make a report to the WIA Intruder Watch. Hope a few other people will do the same.
Agree with the comments about the USN and Spratly Islands, very similar events to the recent Russian/Chinese war exercises.
As many of these activities take place in and around Oceania we end up being blasted.
A day ago at 0920UTC (7.20pm) the Chinese OHR stopped on 40M and moved down just below the amateur 40M allocation.
Now buzzing away between 6766KHz and 7000KHz, 234KHz wide so not a bother to radio hams. Hope the S/W broadcasters and other services enjoy the racket.
Will still put a WIA interference report in for posterity.
Sent of an intruder report a few mo's ago.
Hope others will do the same as pretty well clobbered 40M for quite a while.
