I met Joe when I worked down in Tassie for a while. Great guy, one of life's gentlemen -

Posthumous Member of the Order of Australia (OAM) for Joe Gelston VK7JG (SK)

A real pity that Joe did not live long enough to receive it in person. I lived in VK7 from 1978 to 1993 and Joe was a constant source of inspiration and advice to all of the ops in the state and beyond.
