23 on 23 for Sydney area

Judging by the success of the VK4 23 on 23 activity, are there any takers for a similar effort in the moribund Sydney area? I am willing to kick off on the 23 April at 8pm looking north and then 8:30pm looking south on 1296.100 with my 300w to a 42 el yagi in QF56od.

I can give it a go. I'm in QF56ne so should be able to get you with a 910H into a 55 element loop yagi.

So 23 on 23 for the Sydney area will start 23rd March 8:00pm to 9:00pm. 8:00-8:30pm looking north and 8:30 to 9:00pm looking south.

I am sure we can rope in a few more.

participate during daytime when my XYL is at work. Much harder at 8pm.

i had a bad lightning storm here so was not keen to go up to the mountain and set up the gear in the dark when its raining.

Next 23 on 23 is Sunday 23 April.

Consistent with the VK4s we will run it in the afternoon according to the VK4 schedule:

2:00pm (04:00z) - 03:00pm (05:00z) 23cm SSB/CW only
3:00pm (05:00z) - 5:00pm (07:00z) 13cm and other uWave bands

For all participants -

So from 2pm I will be looking for contacts on 1296.100 in the Sydney region.

Garry VK2KYP went portable near Gosford.

I put my 12el phased array on my rotated pole, on the shed
at about 12m above the rooftops below me so just 40m ASL

Nogo to Gary. He and I were the only ones on.

Both of us hear the Dural beacon, thus systems work.

My rotatable yagi is now back up and rotator calibrated. Just need to fix 1 feed line connector and I'm good to go. Should be there next month, May.

Just put up a 600 x 900 mm grid pack with 23 cm feed .

Here on the Central Coast the Dural beacon is S1, also working on a power amplifier, hopefully this will be ready for the next 23 on 23.

OK. My rotator is working sort of and its got a 55 elemet loop yagi on it. 10W out of a 910H. I'll point your way from Ryde tomorrow and see what happens.
